We were lucky enough to be part of the inaugural “Operation Santa’s Sleigh” in 2024, and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Working directly with the homeless ourselves, we know that being “seen” is critical, and highly appreciated by people experiencing homelessness (PEH).
And at no time of the year is that more important than at the holidays. While most of us get to enjoy “downtime” with friends and family, PEH endure their daily struggle for survival. That’s where Operation Santa’s Sleigh comes in. Some friendly faces, stockings full of goodies, cookies and hot chocolate, and some great holiday music makes that struggle just a little easier to bare, and let’s them know that this is a community that cares. Whether it’s providing resources, supplying goodies, or being part of the team that brings Santa to our unhoused neighbors, this is a great way for anyone to get into the Christmas spirit.
